The Following is the Downey Rose Float Association's 
COVID-19 Volunteer Policy

For the 2021-22 Decoration Period New Hours are in Effect

The decorating times are as follows:

December 26th through December 29th, 2021

Daily – 10:30 am to 2:00 pm &  2:30 pm to 8:45 pm

The buildings will be closed to the public daily December 26th through December 29st, 2021

between 2:00 – 2:30 pm for cleaning and sanitizing.

The Annual All-Night Event Hours:

December 30th, 2021 starting at 10:30 am until completed on December 31st , 2021.

NOTE: On this date our buildings will be temporarily closed to the public for

cleaning and sanitizing during the following times:

Dec 30th 2:00pm to 2:30 pm, 10:00pm to 10:30 pm.

 Dec 31st 2:00am to 2:30 am, 10:00am to 10:30 am, 2:00pm to 2:30 pm

The float will leave for Pasadena at or around 5:30 pm on December 31, 2021

Covid-19 Health & Safety Guidelines 

In order to enter the buildings at the float site the following must be verified:

  • Proof of vaccination With Photo ID are required for everyone over the age of 12 and older.

    • Physical Printout or digital proof will be accepted

    • CDC Card

    • Digital verification

  • In lieu of vaccination proof a negative COVID-19 test 72 hours With Photo ID prior to entering the building.

    • Printed verification

    • Digital verification

 

ALL volunteers regardless of vaccination shall have their temperature checked prior to entering the buildings.

  • If any volunteer is feeling ill, has a temperature above 100 degrees Fahrenheit or is coughing will not be allowed to enter the buildings. (This will be at the discretion of designated float staff)

  • ALL volunteers regardless of vaccination status are REQUIRED to wear a mask while inside the buildings and recommended while in the parking lot.

  • While disposable masks and hand sanitizer will be available for volunteers the Downey Rose Float Association is requesting all volunteers to bring their own Personal Protective Equipment to help with our costs.

    • Mask

    • Gloves

    • Hand sanitizer

  • While some drinks and snacks will be provided to volunteers only it is recommended that ALL Volunteers bring their own lunch.

  • Downey Rose Float Association will have a “Viewing Area” located outside of the building at a barricaded off area off area directly in front of the roll up door for visitor’s that wish to view the float.
