Miss Downey/Miss Teen Downey - The Annual Miss Downey/Miss Teen Downey Pageant is rich in tradition and has been under the sponsorship of the Downey Rose Float Association since 1955. Each year, young ladies between 13-15 (Teen) and 16-23 (Miss) years of age, attending school or living in the City of Downey are invited to compete for the title of Miss Downey/Miss Teen Downey. Miss Downey/Miss Teen Downey and their courts represent the Downey Rose Float Association at many City and Chamber functions. Some of the events they attend are: The Downey Rose Float Fundraisers, Street Faire, Kids Days, Concerts In The Park, Parade of Winners, Mr. Downey Competition, Riding in the Annual Downey Holiday Lane Parade and the Pasadena Tournament of Roses Parade for the Miss Downey Court. The Rose Float Association, the City of Downey and many of our businesses provide gifts and scholarships for the successful candidates.
